Golf course update
It’s Saturday night and we have been a couple of days with out and measurable rainfall. We have worked hard on mowing what we can both equipment willing and ground saturation. We have mowed every fairway and some are wet where we’ve only been able to mow about 80%. Fred has run the tractor as much as possible and has broken 4 belts this week. We are doing our best to cut down the rough but be patient as we are doing our best.
Weed pressure is very hard to control this time of year as even when we spray the thunderstorms have been washing chemicals away. In the next couple of weeks we are going to try to be more aggressive with knocking out some of the goose grass that is on the greens. It will take three to four applications but know that we will work to get our greens, fairways, and tees as clean as possible.
Friday night dinners have been a huge success with 50-60 people coming up for great food, laughs with friends, and a few cocktails.
We are still waiting on the front parcel developer to start construction on our parking lot as well as retention pond which will provide us with our irrigation water. Being without irrigation from February to May definitely set the golf course back but know that we are fighters and continue on our goal to create a great golf course and club experience.
We appreciate everyone’s support and we will keep everyone posted with what is next on the schedule.
Its always a great day to Golf The MOC!!!!
